Kate Stark's dance training covers everything from ballroom to rhythm tap to ballet. She has worked with groups like The Children's Theater of Cincinnati, Pones, Inc., Cincinnati Landmark Productions, de la Dance Company, Cincinnati Music Theatre, Madcap Puppets, Cincinnati Academy of Performing Arts and InBocca Performance around the Greater Cincinnati area. Her favorite roles to date include Jean MacLaren (Brigadoon), Judy Turner (A Chorus Line), Odette (Swan Lake: A Waking Dream), and Sasha the Duck (Peter and the Wolf). Kate teaches dance classes for Persons with Parkinson's, Musical Theatre through Cincinnati Ballet's Otto M. Budig Academy and Cincinnati Academy of Performing Arts, and is both the resident choreographer and Dance Team coach at Notre Dame Academy.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Kate has always had a penchant for organization. She loves creating a logical, simple framework through which creativity can shine.
Today, she provides organizational support at Doth, but got her start as a TV news producer in Dayton, Ohio. From there, Kate helped launch national beer and lifestyle blog PorchDrinking.com, where she coordinated the schedules of almost 100 writers as well as the site's content. She went on to serve as the Executive Director of the Parkinson's Wellness Chapter (now Parkinson Support & Wellness), providing services of education, exercise, and support for more than 60,000 individuals affected by Parkinson's Disease. The Chapter is largely supported by the Steady Strides 5k, which Kate also oversaw for 3 years.
When she's not on stage or organizing things, Kate enjoys hikes with her dog Tallulah, baking, good coffee, stouts, and traveling.
